Is there a qualification programme for doctoral students?

In cooperation with the Joint Graduate Academy of the six universities of education in Baden-Württemberg (graph), LUE offers a qualification programme for our doctoral students. This includes events on various topics related to a doctorate and accompanying further qualifications. Some of the events are offered by graph (the Joint Graduate Academy) on a cross-university basis; others are local events at our university. Most of the events are free of charge.

Participating in the programme is not mandatory, but highly recommended - it gives you the opportunity to gain knowledge, expertise and qualifications you may need for your doctorate, that will support your personal und professional development and that will be helpful to promote your academic career. Furthermore, you will meet other doctoral students and can do some net-working. Attending suitable courses, workshops and events will usually be part of the individual study programme you and your supervisor plan for you und will lay down in your supervision agreement.

By attending events totalling 200 working units of 45 minutes each, you can acquire a certificate from the Joint Graduate Academy, which you can also use to prove this further qualification for any later career steps. To obtain the certificate, you must attend courses in various subject areas. Information on the certificate can be found on the graph website.
